People & Culture Specialist - Employee Engagement

Job Description:

Employee Engagement Activities:

  • Plan, organize, execute, host and facilitate a variety of engagement activities, including games, team-building exercises, company events, seminars, workshops, corporate social events, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing team cohesion and morale.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engagement activities with company values and objectives.
  • Monitor and measure the impact of engagement activities, making continuous improvements based on feedback and results.

Onboarding and New Hire Orientation:

  • Design and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs that provide new hires with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to succeed within the organization.
  • Conduct virtual and face-to-face new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth and engaging introduction to the company culture, policies, and processes.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and teams to coordinate and schedule onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Gather new hire pre-employment requirements and send reminders for compliance.

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Implementation:

In collaboration with Operations:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of Occupational Safety and Health policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Collaborate with OSH Committee to conduct safety training, drills, and awareness campaigns to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Participate in safety audits and assessments, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.

Learning and Development Events:

  • Organize and coordinate learning events, seminars, workshops, and training sessions to support the ongoing professional development of employees.
  • Work with subject matter experts and trainers to ensure the delivery of impactful learning experiences that contribute to individual and organizational growth.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Conduct surveys on employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee engagement activities, onboarding sessions, safety training, and other HR-related processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards in all HR and safety practices.

Backup for HR Functions:

  • Provide support and backup for employee relations matters, assisting with conflict resolution, employee inquiries, and addressing workplace concerns.
  • Assist in compensation and benefits activities, such as administering benefits programs, conducting salary reviews, and providing guidance on HR policies.
  • Perform other HR-related duties or tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or similar relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in employee engagement, onboarding, or a similar HR role. Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health concepts is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with employees at all levels.
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Great presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to design and organize engaging employee activities.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Team player with a collaborative and adaptable approach to work.
