JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provide legal advice and support to senior management on banking-related issues, including regulatory compliance, risk management, corporate governance, contracts, and litigation.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with banking laws and regulations.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate banking agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and advisors.
  • Stay informed about changes in banking laws and regulations and advise senior management on their implications for the company.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address legal issues and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or
    with an active membership in good standing with the Bar
    .
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lawyer, with a background in banking and financial services (preferred but not required).
  • Strong knowledge of banking laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice and counsel in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
