About the role

Niuprofessional Inc' is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team in Makati City Metro Manila. As a full-time Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial records.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining and updating financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Providing administrative support to the accounting team, such as filing, data entry, and document organisation
  • Liaising with internal departments and external clients to resolve any accounting-related queries or discrepancies
  • Adhering to established accounting policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Participating in continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting assistant or bookkeeping role
  • Strong proficiency in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and small practice accounting principles
  • A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
