The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing effective learning initiatives that foster employee growth, elevate service excellence, and support organizational goals. This role combines traditional training functions with a strategic focus on organizational development, ensuring that learning is aligned with the company's values, culture, and business needs. The L&D Manager plays a pivotal role in developing leadership capabilities, improving performance, and cultivating a high-performing, people-centered culture within the hospitality environment.

Learning & Development

  • Assess training and development needs through surveys, performance appraisals, and consultation with managers.
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate a wide range of training programs, including onboarding, service excellence, leadership development, compliance, and technical/hospitality-specific skills.
  • Create and manage annual training calendars and budgets.
  • Facilitate in-house workshops and coordinate with external trainers or providers as needed.
  • Develop e-learning and blended learning solutions to support flexible and scalable training delivery.
  • Track training effectiveness through post-training evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics.

Organizational Development

  • Partner with leadership to identify organizational capability gaps and recommend interventions to support business strategy.
  • Lead change management initiatives that support growth, transformation, and culture building.
  • Support succession planning, career development frameworks, and talent management strategies.
  • Analyze trends in people data to inform development priorities and organizational improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate employee engagement programs and action planning based on employee feedback and surveys.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Collaborate with department heads and senior management to align learning strategies with operational goals.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to support team development, conflict resolution, and performance improvement.
  • Promote a continuous learning culture by championing innovation, creativity, and personal development at all levels.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Organization Development, Psychology, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years work experience in Learning & Development, two (2) of which are in an officer or junior management capacity.
  • Strong preference for experience in multi-level hospitality operations in the Philippines.
  • Must have experience working with AI or e-learning tools.
  • Strong ability to lead, inspire, and influence management teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively adapt with diverse culture backgrounds and setting.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Philippines as required.
