The DevOps Assistant supports the Operations and Development teams in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include monitoring server uptime/downtime, handling and tracking support tickets, coordinating with the DevOps team for issue resolution, and assisting with merchant integrations—particularly those involving API connectivity and troubleshooting.

The role also involves preparing maintenance advisories, documenting deployment activities, and supporting production-related tasks. This position is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with prior IT industry experience who are eager to develop their skills in operations, DevOps, API integration, and production support.

CORE RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Monitor server uptime and downtime, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Record and update support tickets, ensuring timely coordination with the DevOps team.
  • Track and report daily progress on ticket resolutions.
  • Document and monitor production issues and incident reports.
  • Provide production support to help maintain uptime and assist with downtime management.
  • Record deployment activities and maintain logs of production incident reports (IR).
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating production activities requiring downtime, ensuring proper communication to stakeholders.
  • Support merchant integration activities, including basic API testing, troubleshooting, and coordination with developers.
  • Assist with account onboarding preparation and updating account details.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIREMENTS)

  • Fresh graduate or candidate with prior experience in an IT company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Basic knowledge of API integration and troubleshooting (REST, JSON, Postman, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of IT operations and support processes.
  • Good communication and coordination skills across teams.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
