JOB SUMMARY:

Systems Operations Engineer provides the level of support for issues which are encountered in the daily operations of the CEDC electrical network.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors system operating parameters.
  • Monitors & controls substation and line equipment.
  • Executes switching operations on distribution lines and substations.
  • Installs clearance tags.
  • Analyzes system troubles and initiates isolation/load shifting (when necessary)
  • Evaluates system parameters & troubles and makes the necessary recommendation for efficient operations.
  • Restores the system as soon as possible.
  • Orders execution of switching operations.
  • Directs/order execution of switching operations during widespread system troubles/System Blackout.
  • Provides prompt and accurate information to Management regarding system condition.
  • Acts as warehouse co-custodian of SOE duties from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and during duties on weekends and holidays. During which, all materials requisition and issuances shall be under SOE's responsibility and accountability.
  • Acts as Officer-in-Charge on scheduled duties from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and during duties on weekends and holidays. During these duty periods, the SOE shall be responsible and accountable for all the activities of the CEDC manpower under his command.
  • Practices cost-efficiency in all matters pertaining to duties and responsibilities. Will be held responsible and accountable for all decisions made pertaining to the duties.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
