About the Role
AboitizPower is seeking a Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) Manager to lead and deliver HR services for our Thermal Business Group in North Luzon. This role acts as the primary HR partner for site leaders, ensuring alignment of people strategies with business goals. You will be responsible for overseeing HR operations, talent management, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational development.
This is a critical leadership role requiring strong stakeholder management, regulatory knowledge, and a balance of strategic HR planning with hands-on operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Site Operations
- Act as HR SPOC (single point of contact) for Facility Head and Support Group Heads.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and compliance with all employee pre-employment requirements.
- Lead workforce planning and organizational reviews, ensuring alignment with site development goals.
- Build strong partnerships with external stakeholders such as DOLE, universities, and professional organizations.
Talent Attraction, Retention & Development
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for technical and support roles across Thermal BU.
- Review and approve job descriptions, job evaluations, and attraction strategies.
- Develop and implement talent management programs, succession planning, and culture activation initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement programs (team building, family day, sports fest, etc.).
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure proper execution of HR systems (People Central, Time & Attendance).
- Manage payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accurate release of statutory and special payouts.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, AP directives, ISO standards, and internal policies.
- Handle disciplinary actions fairly and consistently, liaising with DOLE, NLRC, and other agencies as required.
Staff Development & Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and develop HR staff; provide readiness programs for cross-functional HR roles.
- Conduct training needs analysis and facilitate professional development programs.
- Monitor HR budget utilization, personnel costs, and workforce analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Industrial Relations, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics.
- At least 8 years of relevant HR experience, with 5 years in leadership capacity.
- Strong track record in recruitment, labor relations, compensation, and HR systems management.
- Proven project experience in employee engagement, HR technology, or compensation studies.
- Knowledge of HR governance, labor regulations, and HR compliance.
- Preferred but not required: Licensed Psychometrician or SHRM certification.
