The Pantry Staff (Dispatcher) plays a crucial role in the kitchen operations by ensuring that all customer orders are properly plated, complete, and visually appealing before being served. Acting as the final checkpoint, the Pantry Staff coordinates with both kitchen staff and service crew to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and quality of food presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive completed food orders from various kitchen stations.

  • Inspect each dish for accuracy based on the order slip or system ticket.

  • Ensure proper plating and presentation in line with restaurant standards.

  • Coordinate with chefs and line cooks to resolve any discrepancies or missing items.

  • Organize and arrange food items on trays for efficient delivery by service crew.

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dispatching/pantry area at all times.

  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.

  • Handle special plating instructions for VIP guests or special occasions.

  • Monitor food holding times and ensure food is served fresh and hot.

  • Assist in inventory checks of pantry supplies and tools as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent; culinary background is a plus.

  • Experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.

  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
