About the role

Net Pacific, Inc.' is seeking a talented Materials Engineer (Consultant) to join our team in Taguig City Metro Manila on a part-time basis. As a Materials Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring the selection, testing, and specification of high-quality materials that meet stringent safety and performance standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct material testing and analysis to evaluate the properties, performance, and suitability of construction materials
  • Develop material specifications and recommendations for the design and construction of civil and structural engineering projects
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to project managers, architects, and construction teams on material-related issues
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure materials are sourced, handled, and installed according to specifications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices in materials engineering
  • Document and report on material-related activities, findings, and recommendations

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Materials Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Proficient in conducting material tests, analysing data, and interpreting results
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction materials, their properties, and their applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve material-related issues
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
