Electrical Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

An electrical site engineer plays a vital role in designing, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment on a construction site. They collaborate with other engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to ensure that the electrical requirements and specifications are met and that the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to safety standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guide the design team to ensure strict adherence to approved designs and ensuring completeness, constructability and code compliance.
• Design, develop, inspect, test, review and analyze electrical systems, designs and supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for a variety of uses.
• Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research & applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
• Ensure that electrical systems are designed, installed, and tested in compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and project specifications. Plans and schedules and coordinates all preventive and corrective maintenance work orders including 3rd party services.
• Working knowledge on local Electrical and Building Codes and Standards. Ensure performance of the electrical work in strict accordance with plans and specification
• Inspect and tests electrical parts, assemblies and accessories prior to installation for conformance to specification and quality standards, using precision measuring instruments and test equipment
• Inspect and tests wiring of assemblies for accuracy of stripping, soldering, and crimping, and for defects, such as frayed wires, loose connection, and cracks
• Coordinate with the material inspector and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily 
  
  completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials
• Conduct safety assessments, risk evaluations, and implement safety measures to mitigate equipment-related hazards
• Participate in preparation of contracts, using various construction methodologies and provide recommendations for the best option prior to execution at site.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering, and apply relevant knowledge to drive innovation

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a college graduate of BS Electrical Engineering.
• Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam) is a must
• At least 2-year experience in site work supervision preferably in the construction industry
• Knowledgeable in Electrical Designs, Capable to review, comment and revise design drawings, and reply to electrical technical questions.
• Knows MS Software and skilled in using CAD software and other engineering applicable software
• Knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations
• Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities to recognize and address challenging technical problems
• Shows honesty and resourcefulness
• Needs to be highly reliable, well-organized, and able to function under duress.
• Willing to be assigned in NCR and Calabarzon
• Full time position available
