MEMS Assembly Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled development engineer to work closely with our partners on MEMS assembly and interconnect technologies. The selected candidate will collaborate with industry-leading OSATs, machine, and material suppliers to develop innovative packaging processes for a wide range of MEMS devices.


Responsibilities
  • Working on-site at one of the largest assembly partners, you will be part of a local team and cooperate closely with our supplier teams.
  • You will join a team of packaging experts within our organization and our suppliers to develop and characterize new optical MEMS device packages.
  • As a member of an interdisciplinary product development team, you will work alongside customer representatives, purchasing, MEMS design and technology, reliability, testing, simulation, construction, production, and quality team members.
  • One of your key responsibilities will be selecting and qualifying new suppliers (assembly subcontractors, equipment, and raw materials) and ensuring their compliance with our standards.
  • Additionally, you will co-work with equipment suppliers to enhance existing or develop new machines, further enhancing our packaging capabilities.
  • You will be responsible for the development, qualification, and transfer to mass production of new assembly processes and materials, as well as owning specifications and technical documentation concerning the optical MEMS package, assembly process, and raw materials.

Qualifications
  • Education: A Master's or Bachelor's degree in material science, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields is required.
  • Experience and Skills: We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years and preferably 7 years of experience in sensor and/or package development.
  • Knowledge and skills: Strong expertise in EOL assembly handling, BGA, QFN, LGA, MEMS packages, FOL, EOL assembly, FMEA, SPC, and 8D is essential.
  • Personality: As a team player, problem solver, and leader, you should have broad technical interests, creativity, initiative, autonomy, flexibility, leadership, agility, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Languages: Excellent English language skills in speaking and writing are necessary.
  • Intercultural Skills: Willingness to travel and adapt to different cultural environments is expected.
