Job description

JOB OVERVIEWS:

Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems to improve production processes. The role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, as well as expertise in automation and control systems. An Automation Engineer's job description includes evaluating existing manufacturing processes to identify ways to optimize efficiency and reliability, and developing automated solutions to execute those optimizations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Designing and implementing automation systems for manufacturing processes

2) Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and opportunities

3) Developing and testing software for automation systems

4) Analyzing and troubleshooting problems in automated systems

5) Conducting regular maintenance and inspections of automation equipment

6) Providing training and support to operators and maintenance personnel

7) Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with safety regulations

8) Managing and documenting all automation-related activities and projects

9) Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings through automation

10) Staying up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and trends

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

A. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT/LICENSURE REQUIREMENT:

a) Technology Courses or College Graduate

b) Certificates from PLC Seminars and Trainings

B. WORK EXPERIENCE / TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

a) Preferably at least five (5) years' experience on Manufacturing with direct involvement on Repairs and Maintenance and Machine Improvement

b) PLC and HMI programming

c) Industrial Electrician Training or equivalent

C. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

a) PLC and HMI Programming

b) Electrical Wiring

c) Know-how on Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting

d) Can use/utilize diagnostic tools

e) Knowledge on VFD's, Servo and Electric Actuators

f) Basic knowledge on Electro-pneumatics

g) Can Read and create ladder diagram and wiring diagrams

D. EFFORT

Can work under pressure and minimal supervision.

E. WORKING CONDITION

a) Exposure to different environment conditions.

b) Exposure to hazardous tools and equipment (Welding, Grinder and etc.)
