The Center for Reading Assessment and Intervention (CRAIN) is dedicated to empowering students to become confident and skilled readers. A founding member of the Council of Reading Intervention Specialists, Inc. (CORIS) in the Philippines, the organization upholds the highest standards in reading intervention practices. CRAIN provides one-on-one, assessment-based, individualized reading intervention programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. These programs address various challenges such as reading delays, dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and communication disorders. Many of CRAIN's educators are certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach to effectively assist students with decoding and spelling challenges.

Role Description

This is a full-time position for a Reading Intervention Specialist, located on-site in Muntinlupa City. The specialist will provide one-on-one reading intervention to students using research-based practices, conduct reading assessments, and develop individualized intervention plans tailored to students' unique needs. They will work closely with students who face reading challenges, including dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences, while maintaining a supportive and encouraging learning environment. The role requires collaboration with team members and families to achieve measurable improvements in reading skills.

Qualifications

  • Background in Psychology and Education, particularly for students with learning challenges
  • Effective communication skills to work with students, families, and team members
  • Formal training or certification in the Orton-Gillingham approach or similar evidence-based methods is highly preferred
  • Experience working with students who have reading delays, dyslexia, or other learning challenges is a significant advantage
  • Passion for education, patience, and a commitment to fostering positive outcomes for students
