Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Helper to join our commissary team. The role involves assisting in food preparation, ensuring kitchen cleanliness, and supporting daily operations. Ideal candidates must have prior kitchen experience, strong skills in cooking and slicing, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation such as washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
  • Support the kitchen staff in cooking, plating, and packaging of food items.
  • Operate kitchen tools and equipment safely and properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and storage areas.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist in receiving, checking, and storing supplies.
  • Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the Commissary Supervisor or Chef.

Qualifications:

  • At least college level (undergraduate applicants are welcome).
  • Previous experience in a kitchen, commissary, or food service environment.
  • Skilled in basic cooking methods, slicing, and food preparation techniques.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
  • Physically fit and able to work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Team player, dependable, and willing to learn.
