QUALIFICATIONS:
- A licensed Mechanical Engineer
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience in Automotive (Trucks, Buses, PUVs) or Heavy Equipment sales
- At least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a sales environment
JOB SUMMARY:
The Vehicle Sales Engineer Supervisor (for Trucks, Buses & PUVs) is responsible for leading the Unit Sales Team to meet or exceed sales targets by developing strategic plans, mentoring team members, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring efficient day-to-day sales operations. This position involves both supervisory functions and active involvement in sales and customer engagement.
The role is entitled to overriding commissions on top of the basic pay, based on team performance and unit sales achievement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote and sell products to customers, including offering service design, standardization, and customization.
- Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Create and manage overall action plans to exceed sales quotas for assigned territories.
- Prepare Unit Sales Reports for MANCOM, weekly sales updates, and yearly forecasts.
- Monitor and ensure proper stock inventory and back-order status to support smooth sales operations.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Perform sales prospecting activities regularly and provide competitive market feedback.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
- Research and recommend new business opportunities, profit enhancements, and service improvements.
- Build and maintain a positive rapport with customers to encourage loyalty and repeat business.
- Mentor, lead, and coach all Sales Executives to improve performance and achieve individual and team targets.
- Supervise day-to-day activities of the sales team to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, market trends, and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with management on pricing strategies and promotional offers.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned from time to time.
