We're a growing eCommerce business with a focus on quality products and operational excellence. We are looking for a hands-on, detail-driven internal accountant to fully own and manage our accounting function. This is not a role for an agency or team — we're hiring an individual contributor who can handle both the daily accounting tasks and the strategic oversight of our financial operations.

Position Overview

The Commercial Finance Analyst / FP&A Accountant is responsible for managing end-to-end financial processes, delivering strategic financial insights, and driving profitability through data-driven analysis. The role requires strong analytical capability, business acumen, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Leadership teams.The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, support business decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Analysis & Profit Optimization (Primary Focus)

2. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial, sales, marketing, and product data to identify revenue opportunities and margin improvement areas.

3. Evaluate pricing models, unit economics, customer-level profitability, and cost structures.

4. Collaborate with functional leads to drive commercial insights and implement corrective actions where needed.

5. Develop dashboards and analytical tools to support management decision-making.

6. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

7. Lead the month-end close process including reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and management reporting.

8. Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial models.

9. Deliver monthly management reports focusing on insights, trends, and recommended actions.

10. Support leadership with scenario planning, strategic initiatives, and operational reviews.

11. Financial Operations & Automation

12. Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity across systems such as WooCommerce, , and QuickBooks Online.

13. Develop workflow logic and partner with operations/technology teams to automate recurring processes and reduce manual workload.

14. Maintain high-quality financial data through reconciliations, audit checks, and system integrations.

15. Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial processes using automation tools.

16. Continuous Improvement & Learning

17. Stay informed on industry standards, financial best practices, automation tools, and AI-driven finance advancements.

18. Recommend process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

19. Demonstrate a proactive and growth-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Year-over-year EBITDA growth and improved financial performance.

• Reduction of manual financial processes to less than 4 hours per week.

• Completion of month-end closing within 3 business days.

• Forecast accuracy within acceptable variance thresholds.

• Effective identification and resolution of margin or operational inefficiencies.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.

• 3–6 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Accounting, or related roles.

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

• Experience preparing management reports and variances with actionable insights.

• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, ) and advanced spreadsheet skills.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and supporting strategic initiatives.

• Strong attention to detail, data validation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in eCommerce, technology, digital services, or high-growth business environments.

• Familiarity with BI platforms (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, Data Studio).

• Experience with automation tools such as Zapier, Make, or scripting languages.

• Understanding of financial data workflows and system integrations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php50, Php71,323.86 per year
