Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and adaptable In-House Lawyer to join our expanding team. The role will provide strategic legal guidance across the organization and will oversee and support our Human Resources (HR) and Administration teams. This position is on-site.

Job Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory, Compliance, and Management

  • Provide legal advice on legal issues affecting the operations of the company.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Provide legal support to other departments in resolving legal issues and concerns.
  • Give information or advice on recent laws, rules, and regulations, and jurisprudence that may affect the operations or interests of the Company.
  • Promote legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the company.
  • Communicate with the external counsels or auditors.

HR/Admin

  • Oversee and provide support to the HR/Administration team.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies.
  • Advise HR on a wide range of employment law issues, including recruitment, hiring practices, employee benefits, workplace disputes, terminations, and performance management.
  • Provide legal guidance on employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and other workplace matters.
  • Lead performance evaluation and employee Engagement programs.
  • Provide support for risk assessment and due diligence requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed lawyer in the Philippines, specialized in labor law, and in good standing.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in labor and employment law, ideally within a corporate in-house setting.
  • Proven leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with general Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in BPO companies, Banks, or Financial Companies.
