About the Role

  • A humanitarian and non-profit organization is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their finance and support team in Makati. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial management, compliance, and support to both head office and international field operations. The Senior Accountant will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor a small team while working in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
  • Solid years of relevant work experience in accounting or auditing.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage, but a willingness to take on responsibilities will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record financial transactions, prepare balances, and process payments.
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual financial reports for head office and field offices.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting for proposals and ongoing projects.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and addressing findings.
  • Implement effective internal controls across financial processes.
  • Supervise and guide a small accounting team.
  • Coordinate with HR, procurement, and other internal teams on finance-related matters.
  • Contribute to process improvements and problem-solving within the finance function.
