Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Bill of Quantities & Take-offs.
  • Accurately measure dimensions from construction drawings and convert them into quantities of materials like concrete, bricks, timber, etc.
  • Following the standardized measurement guidelines set out by the ANZSMM ensures consistency and accuracy in quantity calculations.
  • Creating detailed documents that list itemized quantities of materials, labour, and associated costs for each construction element, used by contractors to price tenders.
  • Utilizing Cubit software to perform calculations, generate BoQs, and visualize 3D models for measurement purposes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction, quantity surveying, architecture, or a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Expertise in the Australian and New Zealand Standard Method of Measurement and relevant construction measurement standards
  • Knows the construction measurement Cubit software.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Quantity Surveyor, Measurement Surveyor.
  • Good Communication Skills - written (Spelling to British English) and verbal English skills.
  • Motivated, Team player, and able to work as part of a team of Estimators and Surveyors.
  • Member of professional quantity surveyors' organisations, such as PICQS, RICS, or AIQS (bonus).
