Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of computer systems, hardware, and software within an organization. This role involves providing technical support to end-users, diagnosing, and resolving hardware and software issues, and maintaining overall IT infrastructure.

Job Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Information Technology, Electrical Engineer Technology, or any related field.
  • 2-3 Years Work Experience as a Computer Technician or similar role.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST).
  • Knowledge of different types of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, etc.) and their functions.
  • Skill in PCB rework, including component removal and replacement.
  • Proficiency in using testing equipment such as multimeters, soldering iron, and logic analyzers to troubleshoot PCBs.
  • Knowledge of common PCB failure modes and effective troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proactive; addresses site level issues with appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be a strong team player with a positive attitude and tenacity to complete the mission.
  • Familiarity with current technology trends and a willingness to stay updated on industry advancements.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, install, and support the following: PC hardware, commercial and custom software suites, network connectivity for data, voice, Ethernet, and WIFI, image creation and deployment, IP phones, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, CCTV and UPS.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Hardware Installation and Maintenance:

  2. Install and configure computer systems, servers, and peripheral devices.

  3. Diagnose and replace faulty hardware components.
  4. Upgrade and optimize computer systems for improved performance.
  5. PCB testing and troubleshooting.

  6. Printer Repair (HP, Brother, Epson, Konica Minolta, etc...)

  7. Software Installation and Support:

  8. Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and application software.

  9. Provide support for software-related issues to end-users.

  10. Ensure that software licenses are up-to-date and compliant.

  11. Network Troubleshooting:

  12. Identify and resolve network connectivity issues.

  13. Set up and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
  14. Collaborate with network administrators to ensure seamless network operation.

4.  User Support:

  • Respond to user inquiries and provide technical assistance.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of user accounts.

  • Train end-users on basic computer usage and best practices.

  • Data Security:

  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect computer systems and data.

  • Conduct regular security audits and updates.

  • Collaborate with the IT security team to address potential threats.

  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

  • Analyze and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.

  • Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and address technical problems.

  • Document troubleshooting processes and solutions for future reference.

  • System Backups and Recovery:

  • Implement backup strategies to protect critical data.

  • Ensure the availability of data recovery processes in case of system failures.
