As an Energy Specialist, you will deliver top-tier support to customers via phone, email, and chat while simplifying complex energy processes. You'll contribute to both customer happiness and operational improvements, making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced industry.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (email and chat experience preferred)
• Prior experience within the Australian energy industry is highly desirable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
• A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
• Demonstrated accountability and ownership of outcomes
• Willingness to work across rotating rosters as required
• Must be available for onsite work

Desirable Attributes

• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Interest in energy, sustainability, or digital innovation
• Familiarity with CRM, JIRA, MSATS, etc.

Your Daily Tasks

Customer Engagement

• Handle inbound/outbound interactions via phone, email, and chat in a timely, professional manner
• Communicate with empathy and confidence, managing escalations effectively
• Proactively manage customer accounts and ensure queries are fully addressed
• Provide updates and follow-ups even without a full resolution

Operational Tasks

• Process customer data and resolve billing, accounts, or service issues
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the National Energy Market
• Maintain accurate and updated customer records
• Participate in required training and refresher sessions

Process Improvement & Team Support

• Identify and recommend areas for operational improvement
• Support process documentation and quality assurance activities
• Contribute to team initiatives, coaching, and onboarding of new members
• Collaborate with Senior Energy Specialists for continuous improvement
