Job Description:

The Pollution Control Officer/Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations, as well as promoting a safe and healthy work environment. The role involves developing and implementing pollution control and safety programs, conducting regular inspections, and providing training to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pollution control programs in compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and obtain necessary permits and certifications.
  • Develop and implement safety programs to promote a safe work environment.
  • Conduct safety training for employees and contractors.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on environmental and safety performance.
  • Stay updated on environmental and safety regulations and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
  • Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and Safety Officer (SO2) accreditation from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), respectively.
  • At least 2 years of experience in environmental and safety management.
  • Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations in the Philippines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
