Oriental Merchants, Inc. was established in 1988 as a trading company. As the name reveals, the company functions as a merchant from the orient which initially imported commercial products from Spain for the Philippine market. Later, OMI established it's export division which functions as the agent for various buyers from Europe, the US and Asia.

We are looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented, and client-focused Corporate Gift Curator & Sales Specialist to design and develop premium gift packages for all occasions throughout the year. This includes anniversary hampers, birthday gifts, Christmas baskets, corporate milestone kits, wedding gifts, and bespoke curated sets for individuals or companies.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for aesthetics, excellent product-sourcing skills, and the ability to turn concepts into beautiful, meaningful gift experiences. This role blends creative design, operations, and sales, ensuring that every gift reflects high quality and thoughtful presentation, while also meeting client needs and budget.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Creative & Product Development
  • Conceptualize and design a wide range of gift packages for year-round occasions and corporate needs.
  • Source unique, high-quality products, packaging materials, and suppliers.
  • Create on-brand themes, color palettes, and presentation styles for each hamper.
  • Develop prototypes, costings, and presentations for client pitches.
  • Ensure all gift sets are aesthetically cohesive, functional, and delivered to quality standards.
Operations & Coordination
  • Manage inventory of gift items, samples, packaging, and supplies.
  • Coordinate production, assembly, and timely delivery of gift orders.
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams.
  • Maintain organized records of suppliers, pricing, and product availability.
Sales & Client Engagement
  • Present gift packages to clients and assist in closing sales.
  • Understand client needs and tailor gift solutions accordingly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Assist in marketing efforts — catalog creation, social media content ideas, event showcases.
Quality Control & Branding
  • Maintain standard quality requirements for all gift packages.
  • Ensure consistent branding, packaging, and customer experience.
  • Propose improvements to trends, styles, and strategic gift collections.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Degree in Marketing, Design, Hospitality, Business, Merchandising, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • At least 2–3 years experience in product development, merchandising, retail, event styling, gifting services, or creative marketing.
  • Experience in sales, client relations, or customer-facing roles is a strong advantage.
