Facade BIM Modeler

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain BIM models for façade projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to interpret and implement project requirements within BIM models.
  • Produce detailed façade drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings from BIM models.
  • Perform clash detection and resolve issues between façade and other building systems.
  • Update BIM models based on design revisions, site conditions, or client feedback.
  • Utilize BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks) to integrate and coordinate façade systems with other building elements.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including model setups, naming conventions, and data management standards.
  • Assist in developing and implementing BIM standards, processes, and workflows for façade projects.
  • Conduct quality control checks on BIM models to ensure compliance with company and client standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree must be in Architecture or any Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in BIM modeling, with a strong focus on Façade systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks; familiarity with other BIM software is a plus.
  • Advanced parametric modelling proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of façade systems, materials, and fabrication processes.
  • Specific experience with curtain wall façade systems is required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in modeling and documentation.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve design and coordination issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with parametric modeling and visual scripting (e.g., Dynamo) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry BIM standards and guidelines
  • Previous experience with large-scale or complex façade projects is highly desirable.
