The Role

As an Account Manager at Hey You, you will play a pivotal role in our AM Team, reporting to the AM Lead. Your primary responsibility is to nurture and cultivate relationships with small & medium accounts. Focusing on this unique cohort will increase their engagement with Hey You and drive revenue growth for our company. Solid communication, creativity, and relationship-building skills are paramount in this role, along with a keen commercial sense and alignment with our company's vision.

Your responsibilities

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

KRA 1 – Merchant Outreach:

  • Grouped Operations: Manage existing SM accounts with a streamlined approach.
  • Creative Engagement: Develop innovative strategies to enhance account engagement.
  • Collaborative Marketing: Work closely with the Marketing team to adapt and execute successful campaigns tailored to this cohort.

KRA 2 – Relationship Building:

  • Trust and Education: Build trust with merchants, addressing concerns about Hey You and highlighting its value.
  • Support Documentation: Provide comprehensive troubleshooting and training documentation to ensure merchants maximise Hey You's potential.
  • Personalisation: Customize marketing campaigns to address different needs.
  • Communication Channels: Identify the most effective communication channels for efficient interactions.

KRA 3 – Merchant Growth & Expansion:

  • Revenue Goals: Focus on retaining and upselling services to SM accounts and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Increase App Usage: Encourage merchants to promote and maximise app usage among their customers.
  • Grow TPV: Develop strategies to increase TPV and transaction value on the platform.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Monitor market trends and gather feedback from merchants to identify growth opportunities.

KRA 4 – Support and Collaboration:

  • Support: Assist merchants in troubleshooting Hey You issues and answer concerns & questions.
  • Tickets: Address & close all assigned tickets promptly.
  • First line of support for key accounts and assistance with minor menu changes.

KRA 5 – Data Completion:

  • HubSpot Management: Ensure all outreach activities & campaigns are accurately andconsistently logged and uploaded to HubSpot.

KRA 6 – People & Culture:

  • Culture Alignment: Foster a high-performance culture within the account management team.
  • Values Alignment: Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring alignment with company values and culture.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to drive company-wide strategies and initiatives.

  • 40% SM Account Outreach, Strategy & Relationship
  • 30% Merchant Growth & Expansion
  • 20% Support
  • 10% HubSpot Data Completion

Your skills

Proven experience in account management or sales.

Proficiency in CRM platforms and data analytics (preferably Hubspot).

Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong organizational and problem solving skills
