Job Title: Plant Head - Chemical Engineer
Job Summary:

The Plant Head oversees all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. This role requires a licensed Chemical Engineer with strong leadership, technical expertise, and management experience to supervise processes, drive operational excellence, and maintain compliance with environmental and safety standards. The Plant Head is accountable for production output, workforce management, process improvements, and aligning plant performance with company objectives. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills are essential for effective leadership and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Direct daily plant operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals.

Process & Safety Management: Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards.

Production Oversight: Monitor manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements.

Financial Control: Manage budgets, control operating costs, and optimize resource utilization.

Team Management: Lead, train, and develop plant personnel; foster teamwork and accountability across departments.

Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control systems to ensure products meet specifications and client requirements.

Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to plant operations and safety.

Reporting: Prepare operational, financial, and compliance reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (Master's degree or MBA is an advantage).

Licensing: Must be a Licensed Chemical Engineer (PRC).

Experience: 8–10 years of relevant experience in plant operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of chemical processes, production systems, safety protocols, and plant management software.

Business Skills: Ability to manage budgets, optimize operations, and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
