Job Description
The Business Unit Head is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall success of an assigned construction materials business unit. This role leads business strategy, drives revenue growth, manages profit and loss, builds client relationships, ensures operational excellence, and develops high-performing teams.
This position requires a strong mix of commercial leadership, operational management, strategic planning, and people development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth- Develop and implement business strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify new markets, clients, and business opportunities.
- Set annual targets, KPIs, and growth plans.
- Monitor performance and adjust strategies as needed.
- Full responsibility for unit profit and loss (P&L).
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
- Manage pricing, margins, and cost controls.
- Evaluate investments, risks, and resource allocation.
- Lead key client relationships, partnerships, and negotiations.
- Drive sales strategy, contract acquisition, and market expansion.
- Represent the company in major meetings, projects, and partnerships.
- Oversee daily operations across sales, logistics, production, and service.
- Ensure quality standards, compliance, and process improvements.
- Resolve operational gaps and improve efficiency.
- Lead, coach, and develop sales, operations, and admin teams.
- Build a performance-driven culture.
- Conduct performance reviews and team development plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and laws.
- Monitor risks and ensure ethical business practices.
- Submit regular business, financial, and performance reports to management.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA or master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction materials, manufacturing, or business leadership.
- Proven experience in P&L management, business growth, and sales leadership.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Strong client relationship management skills.

- Experience in steel, concrete, wall systems, panels, or construction materials.
