Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date fixed asset register, including tagging, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal tracking
  • Monitor asset movements and coordinate with departments for periodic asset count and reconciliation
  • Ensure proper classification and documentation of assets in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., PFRS)
  • Support audits by providing asset-related documentation and schedules

Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax, Income Tax) in compliance with BIR regulations
  • Ensure accurate tax computation and timely remittance of tax obligations
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and recommend updates to internal practices accordingly
  • Assist with tax assessments, audits, and submission of required documents to BIR and LGUs

General Accounting Support

  • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Assist with account reconciliations related to asset and tax accounts
  • Support documentation of accounting policies and internal controls
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors for periodic reviews

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in asset accounting and/or tax compliance
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR processes, and tax filing platforms
  • Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Amenable to hybrid work setup (some days onsite)
