Responsibilities:

  • Establishes, administers, and improves occupational health service programs while ensuring compliance with company policies, all the applicable occupational safety & health laws, and other issuances by relevant government agencies
  • Identifies and assesses occupational health hazards of existing or proposed work areas, facilities, equipment or processes and oversees the implementation of appropriate controls through conduct of periodic facility walks/inspections of the workplace, performance of risk assessment, and conduct of research studies
  • Recommends appropriate and risk based job placement of employees based on the nature of their work, occupational exposures, physical capacity and limitations
  • Conducts medical surveillance and monitoring of employees exposure to occupational health hazards to promote conservation of health
  • Ensures the maintenance of the health of the workers through conducting physical examinations and providing medical care to injured workers
  • Designs and conducts occupational health training/briefing/orientation modules to educate employees on currently relevant occupational health issues
  • Establishes and maintains a reporting and recording system to ensure a timely submission of the reports required by DOLE OSHS and LTP management
  • Participates in safety and health committee meetings, as required
  • Acts as adviser to the Company on health matters.

Qualifications:

  • Have passed the examination given by the Board of Examiners for Physicians and must be licensed to practice medicine in the Philippines
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health
  • Proven experience in conducting occupational health assessments and developing health and safety programs
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and workplace health and safety standards
  • Strong understanding of occupational health principles and practices
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for workplace safety.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing health and wellness programs
  • Willingness to travel to different work sites as needed
