JOB SUMMARY

The Kitchen Steward maintains cleanliness and sanitation within the culinary and food & beverage areas, and supports efficient operations by providing and managing necessary equipment. They accomplish this by cleaning assigned areas, handling stewarding equipment, and ensuring proper storage and organization. Their objectives are to contribute to a safe, hygienic, and organized work environment, and to support the smooth functioning of food and beverage service. These objectives are achieved within the framework of company and departmental policies, food safety regulations, and operational procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cleaning and Sanitation

Clean and maintain assigned areas, including kitchens, storage rooms, and other stewarding areas, according to company standards and food safety regulations. This includes proper garbage disposal, and practicing conservation of supplies, electricity, and water. This ensures a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all staff and supports compliance with health and safety standards.

Equipment Handling and Maintenance

Prepare, provide, and ensure the proper handling and storage of all equipment, including dishware, utensils, and cleaning tools. This includes ensuring all equipment is returned to the correct storage area after use, and reporting any equipment issues. This supports efficient F&B operations and minimizes equipment loss or damage.

Operational Support

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the stewarding department and support the needs of the culinary and F&B teams. This includes organizing stewarding stores and ensuring efficient workflow. This contributes to a positive and productive work environment and facilitates seamless service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least High School graduate
  • At least six (6) months experience in a similar role.
