About the Role:

The
Procurement Head
will lead and oversee all purchasing and sourcing activities of the company, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality acquisition of goods and services essential to the organization's operations. This role plays a key part in optimizing the supply chain, developing strategic supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards within the health and medical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall procurement strategy aligned with company goals and operational needs.
  • Oversee end-to-end procurement processes — from supplier sourcing, bidding, and negotiation to contract management and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies, systems, and best practices to ensure transparency, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor relationships and build strategic partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Coordinate with key departments (Finance, Operations, Regulatory, and Quality) to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Evaluate supplier performance through quality, pricing, and reliability metrics.
  • Monitor market trends, identify risks, and recommend strategies to ensure business continuity and competitive pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations, particularly those related to pharmaceutical and medical procurement standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to drive excellence and accountability.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate procurement data and insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of
    8–10 years of experience
    in procurement or supply chain management, with at least
    3 years in a leadership role
    .
  • Experience in
    healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical distribution
    industries is
    highly preferred
    .
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
  • Deep understanding of importation, logistics, and government procurement regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in ERP or procurement management systems.
