Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a
Commercial Finance and General Accounting Manager
oversees and manage NURC accounting operations and ensure full tax compliance. This role also serves as a key business partner to the Marketing team, providing financial insights that drive strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in accounting and tax, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally across the organization.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?


• Oversee all general accounting functions, including financial reporting, month-end closing, and compliance with local GAAP/IFRS standards.


• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and internal reports.


• Lead coordination with accounting shared services and ensure alignment on processes and deliverables.


• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, including balance sheet accounts (Assets and Liabilities).


• Manage month end and year end close processes, monthly performance reviews with main stakeholders


• Prepare and file accurate tax returns, ensuring full compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.


• Manage all tax-related matters, including audits, assessments, and correspondence with government agencies.


• Ensure timely preparation of statutory reports and filings required by external auditors and regulatory bodies.


• Act as a strategic finance partner to the Marketing team.


• Conduct financial analysis for promotions, product launches (NPD), and marketing ROI to support business decisions.

What are the Qualifications?

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
  • Must be a CPA, Master's Degree is an advantage.
  • At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the field of accounting operation is required for this position.
  • Solid excel skills, knowledge and experience in SAP, Power BI is an advantage
