Philcare Pharma, a trusted name in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a
highly skilled and experienced Accounting Specialist
to join our dynamic accounting and finance team. We are looking for a professional with a strong background in accounting systems, regulatory compliance, and supervisory experience to strengthen our accounting and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full spectrum of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end/year-end closing.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of
    local tax filings (BIR)
    and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and other regulatory reports as required.
  • Ensure timely filing and accurate preparation of government reports and compliance submissions.
  • Manage and optimize the use of accounting applications such as
    SAP, QuickBooks, and other financial systems
    .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    accountancy, Finance, or related field
    ; CPA license is a strong advantage.
  • 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience
    , preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • Supervisory/leadership experience
    with the ability to guide and develop a small team.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with
    accounting systems (SAP, QuickBooks, and others)
    .
  • Solid expertise in
    local tax (BIR) compliance, filing, and reporting
    .
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
