Job Description
As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with our key modern trade accounts (e.g., supermarkets, groceries, and convenience store chains), while also providing oversight and guidance for our specialty trade channels such as pet shops, vet clinics, and grooming salons.
You will serve as the main point of contact for buyers, merchandisers, and trade partners—ensuring that our products are well-represented, performing, and driving revenue growth. The role will require regular cross-functional coordination with sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to execute account-level strategies and campaigns.
Job Responsibilities
- Own and manage key accounts in the modern trade channel including listing, negotiations, promotions, and trade marketing activities.
- Provide strategic oversight for specialty trade channels (pet stores, vet clinics, pet grooming shops), ensuring alignment with brand strategy and market growth targets.
- Develop and execute annual business plans with each key account partner, aligned with sales and growth targets.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within each account.
- Monitor sales performance, forecast demand, and analyze sell-through data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth execution of promotions, stock availability, and timely deliveries.
- Lead account reviews and business updates with clients, using data and insights to recommend adjustments or new initiatives.
- Support new product launches and ensure visibility and share-of-shelf in all assigned accounts.
- Track competitor activities in the trade and recommend counter-strategies.
Job Qualifications
- Experience in account management within FMCG; experience in pet food or related categories is a plus.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in key account management, trade marketing, or related sales roles.
- Strong analytical and business planning skills; comfortable working with sales data, forecasts, and market trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field.
