
Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be a critical driver of new business opportunities and client base expansion within the UK/US tech sector. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can strategically identify and pursue new clients, build strong relationships, and contribute significantly to our sales targets. The BDM will operate with flexibility to accommodate UK/US market hours and work independently while collaborating closely with the founder.
What you'll do
- Proactively identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities within the technology sector with the US and/or UK market
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies and tactical plans to achieve and exceed ambitious sales targets, broadening our market presence.
- Cultivate and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective clients, understanding their unique talent acquisition challenges and positioning our bespoke solutions effectively.
- Collaborate closely with our expert recruitment teams to ensure seamless alignment between client needs, market trends, and our candidate sourcing strategies.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and untapped growth opportunities within the tech recruitment space.
- Lead the entire sales cycle from initial outreach and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and successful deal closure.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of demonstrated success in Business Development or Sales, ideally within the recruitment, staffing, or professional services industry, with a strong focus on the tech sector.
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate interactions with clients and prospects across different US and UK time zones.
- A genuine passion for technology and a deep understanding of its various sectors (e.g., SaaS, AI, FinTech, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing).
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, engage, and influence senior-level decision-makers
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work autonomously to manage a robust sales pipeline and consistently achieve targets.
- A strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying market opportunities and developing actionable plans for growth.
Commission
- Highly attractive, uncapped commission structure at
10% of total deal value
