Department: Finance - Accounting Section

Reporting to: Assistant Accounting Manager

Workweek: 5-day work week (onsite)

As the Budget Specialist, you are responsible for executing budget and forecast activities, analyzing and monitoring spending against the approved budget and compliance with the set standards. You will assist in developing and updating of budget tools, policies and procedures, and will handle special projects as assigned.

Other requirements include the following:

  • Executing Budget and Forecast Plan activities accordingly.
  • Monitoring Actual Spending vs Approved Budget.
  • Providing Monthly Budget Variance Report to the Departments and Assistant Accounting Manager.
  • Ensuring proper classification of transactions and suggesting necessary adjustments to settle variances.
  • Recommending cost-saving initiatives and handling special projects as assigned.
  • Assisting in developing and updating budget systems, policies and procedures.
  • Providing guidance and coordination with cross-functional departments.
  • Consolidating, analyzing, and conducting a budget review to establish Annual Company Budget and ensures compliance with the Company Policies.

To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following qualifications:

  • Has a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any Finance and Banking related courses.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus.
  • At least three (3) years experience in any Finance or Accounting functions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to produce useful information for decision-makers.
  • Adaptable in SAP or any similar  Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and/or Google sheet for effective organization of data.
