What's The Role All About?

The Outsourced Heavy Maintenance Specialist is responsible for overseeing outsourced heavy maintenance activities at international MRO facilities. This role ensures that aircraft maintenance is executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and cost-efficiency, while maintaining strict adherence to project timelines and regulatory compliance

Who Are We Looking For?

  • College or University Graduate (Preferably bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Avionics Technology, Aircraft Maintenance Technology, Mechanical, Electronics Engineer, & Electrical Engineer)
  • Licensed Aeronautical Engineer; experience in avionics or Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) is an advantage
  • With hands-on experience in heavy maintenance operations, including Entry into Service (EIS), aircraft redeliveries, and lease returns
  • Experience working with Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft types is a plus

Major Responsibilities

  • Direct oversight, monitor and control of the outsourced Heavy Maintenance Visit (HMV) and ADHOC maintenance checks by the contracted Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) for the PAL Fleet
  • To monitor the performance of the heavy maintenance services of the maintenance provider for the PR fleet to ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards and regulations and on-time CRS release
  • To ensure proper oversight and control for heavy maintenance and ensure Aircraft operational availability should be equal to or greater than 95%
  • Ensures business continuity during cases when aircraft technical concerns become a challenge which mainly affects the aircraft's availability and planned flight schedule
  • Direct oversight, monitor and control the implementation and compliance of airframe and engine airworthiness directives, airframe and engine service bulletins, maintenance schedules (MS), PAL TOD maintenance programs, modification, reconfiguration, minor/major repairs, time-controlled and life limited components, rectification of deferred defects and as required maintenance test flight set up for the PAL fleet
