Technical responsibilities

  • Overall responsible for procurement needs of the assigned pod vessels
  • Responsible for collecting and documenting all technical information from the Pod vessels, workshops, and vendors
  • Follow up on advance payments, make necessary entries in the cost book and liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, vessels agents and the vessel for speedy dispatch in coordination with Technical Superintendent
  • Plan for documents to be delivered on or off vessels
  • Documents housekeeping as per company requirements
  • Assist Buyers (if required) with coordination of quotations, processing of quotations and cost comparisons
  • Responsible for collecting and documenting all technical information from the Pod vessels, workshops, and vendors

Supervisory and people management responsibilities

  • Be a change agent to implement new procedures and processes under SOP's
  • Training the Buyers/Senior Buyers in PARIS and Office 365 as required
  • Responsible for the team of Buyers and the coordination between them
  • Ad hoc duties or projects as assigned by Superior

Requirements

  • Graduates of any 4 years course with minimum 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in the ship management industry as Buyer or Senior Buyer is desirable
  • Supervisory skills and ability to lead a team
  • Proficient in Oracle and MS office – preferably but not must
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Experience in client, supplier, and stakeholder management
  • Must be available for interviews between 9 AM and 6 PM on weekdays
  • Proficient in Oracle (preferred), SAP or Eyeshare and Excel

  • Permanent and direct-hire engagement
  • Full onsite in MOA Complex Pasay City
  • Standard; dayshift (9am to 6pm); Monday to Friday

Pay: Php60, Php70,000.00 per month
