Job Description
Mangrove Place Siquijor is looking for a creative and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, quality, and team leadership, and can create memorable dining experiences using fresh, local ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation
- Manage kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Control food costs, inventory, and supplier coordination
- Work closely with management on specials, events, and promotions
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food costing, inventory, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Experience in resort or island dining is an advantage
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
