Job Summary:

The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – General Accounting is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with BIR and other regulatory requirements, and overseeing general accounting processes including Accounts Payable (AP). The role plays a key part in supporting sound financial management and decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and prepare corresponding financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Provide management with accurate and timely financial data and variance analyses.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all BIR returns and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors and government agencies when needed.
  • Review, validate, and record supplier invoices and employee reimbursements.
  • Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely disbursements.
  • Assist in monitoring collections and recording receivables.
  • Support other finance functions as needed, including budgeting, audit preparation, and internal control improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and BIR compliance.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
