Full Stack WordPress Developer

ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a skilled Full Stack WordPress Developer with a strong understanding of search engine optimization (SEO). The ideal candidate will be proficient in delivering high-quality website components and plugins, focusing on SEO optimizations and technical excellence.

WORK SCHEDULE: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Design and implement new features and functionality using WordPress, including themes, child themes, and plugins
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Develop and maintain multilingual sites
• Optimize page speed and implement SEO optimizations
• Integrate SEO best practices to enhance visibility in search engines
• Manage .htaccess redirects
• Utilize UI/UX experience to maintain and improve websites
• Design using HTML, JavaScript, CSS and optimize scripts and images to improve page speed
• Maintain page speed score above 90 on both mobile and desktop on Google PageSpeed and GTmetrix
• Perform security updates and routine site audits
• Handle both back-end and front-end development
• Conduct website performance tests and troubleshoot content issues
• Stay updated with front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery
• Use code versioning tools such as GIT
• Work with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug
• Design and develop responsive design websites
• Convert layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Understand email technologies including SMTP, DMARC, SPF, DKIM, and DNS
• Work effectively in a team setting to scale the production of various SEO products
• Manage Stage, PreProd, Sandbox environments, and deployments
• Convert layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages without using Elementor
• Test WordPress developers' work for proper code and functionality

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor's degree in the related field is an advantage
• Proficient in WordPress development with a focus on SEO
• Strong skills in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Experience in optimizing websites for SEO and page speed
• Experience with Elementor and Gutenberg and understands their pros and cons
• Familiarity with the Laravel PHP framework is a plus
