Senior WordPress Developer – Digital Marketing Agency

Location: Remote / Hybrid (Specify region)

Employment Type: Full-time

Industry: Digital Marketing / Web Development

Experience Required: 5+ years (Agency experience essential)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end WordPress development: planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Build custom themes and plugins using PHP, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and modern coding standards.
  • Optimise websites for speed, performance, SEO, accessibility, and conversions.
  • Manage and prioritise multiple client websites simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement and troubleshoot integrations with CRM platforms, marketing tools, payment gateways, and APIs.
  • Perform regular site audits, updates, backup and security monitoring.
  • Establish and maintain development best practices, documentation, and version control processes (Git).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years hands-on development experience in WordPress (agency environment preferred).

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with marketing integrations such as HubSpot, Zoho, Mailchimp, Klaviyo.
  • UI/UX best practices and Figma/Adobe XD familiarity.
  • Knowledge of server-side management (Linux/Cloud hosting).
  • Experience deploying CI/CD workflows.
  • Expert-level skills in:
  • WordPress CMS, custom themes + plugin development
  • PHP & MySQL
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery
  • Familiar with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi) while maintaining clean code standards.
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, Core Web Vitals & technical optimization.
  • Experience working with:
  • WooCommerce
  • REST APIs & headless WordPress (preferred)
  • cPanel, DNS, hosting environments
  • Ability to communicate directly with clients and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong ownership, accountability & delivery mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php55,000.00 per month
