We're seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator with previous Australian experience for our Australian client's 100% Home-Based role in the Philippines. This opportunity is fully employed with paid leave and great benefits.

A rare opportunity like this doesn't present itself often. Our Australian client is looking for an experienced Plumbing Estimator with previous Aussie project experience to join their team and work from home in the Philippines. You will play a key role in preparing tenders and supporting the team with adhoc duties as they arise. You will report directly to the Director and will be an extension of their team, being able to work autonomously having prior similar experience.

Our Client

Our client is a specialist commercial and residential Plumbing contractor who works on mid-sized commercial projects in Melbourne, Australia. They were set up over 10 years ago and work with mid-tier builders to deliver full plumbing packages; they have a strong background in hospitality, refurb and commercial fitout projects.

The Opportunity:

The Key objectives of the Plumbing Estimator is to be responsible for material takeoffs, compiling costs and quotes required to successfully bid on the project.

Accountabilities will include:

  • Complete take-offs of all items relevant to complete the scope of works.
  • Obtain quotes from suppliers for all items required to complete the scope of work.
  • Maintain a database of prices
  • Liaise with clients tendering the project to discuss ambiguous items and clarify scope.
  • Price contract variations and assist with pricing if required.
  • Use Simpro to complete tenders
  • Packaging the quotes ready for client submission
  • Use bluebeam to mark up drawings

About you:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have previously worked in a similar Plumbing Estimating / Quantity Surveyor role working on Australian projects
  • Strong understanding and experience in reading plans and architectural drawings
  • Experience using Simpro, Bluebeam and Adobe
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
