ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a Project Estimator - Virtual Assistant, who will play a critical role in supporting construction estimating and administrative operations. They will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing construction documents to perform accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates, preparing bids, and collaborating closely with sales and project management teams. The role also includes virtual assistant tasks such as managing emails, scheduling meetings, supporting permit processes, and maintaining a social media presence through content creation and engagement.

The ideal candidate has experience in plumbing estimation, familiarity with both public and private sector projects, and proficiency in estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or On-Screen Takeoff.

WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (12:00 AM – 9:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review and analyze construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to perform accurate takeoffs
  • Identify discrepancies or missing information in project plans and coordinate with clients or project managers to clarify scope
  • Utilize estimating software and spreadsheets to calculate project costs
  • Prepare and submit bids
  • Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to ensure bid accuracy and alignment with company capabilities
  • Provide social media support, particularly with content creation, scheduling, audience engagement, and tracking
  • Manage and organize emails, including prioritizing urgent correspondence and responding to inquiries on behalf of their client
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments
  • Assist with permit applications, scheduling, and coordinating inspections
  • Source materials and obtain pricing

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in the related field is preferred
  • Prior experience in plumbing estimating is also preferred
  • Experience working with general contractors, public works projects, and private sector bids is also preferred
  • Experience with estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff) and Microsoft Excel and or Google Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
