A Plant Operations Supervisor manages daily activities and personnel to ensure plant operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise Daily Equipment Operations (Elematic Precast Machine)

Oversee the operation of machinery used in casting, curing, lifting, and transporting precast concrete elements.

Ensure equipment is operated safely and in line with standard procedures.

Schedule and Monitor Maintenance

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.

Coordinate corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and production delays.

Inspect and Troubleshoot Equipment

Conduct routine inspections of mechanical and electrical systems.

Identify and address operational issues promptly, escalating as needed.

Coordinate with Maintenance and Production Teams

Liaise between production and maintenance crews to prioritize repairs and align with production goals.

Ensure maintenance work does not disrupt critical production timelines.

Maintain Equipment Logs and Records

Keep detailed records of equipment usage, service history, and repair activities.

Monitor performance trends and plan for equipment upgrades or replacements.

Ensure Safety and Compliance

Enforce safety protocols for equipment operation and maintenance activities.

Ensure compliance with local and industry regulations, including lockout/tagout and PPE usage.

Train and Supervise Operators

Train equipment operators on proper usage and basic troubleshooting.

Evaluate operator performance and promote best practices.

Support Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency, reduce energy use, or extend service life.

Participate in plant improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Inventory and Spare Parts Management

Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for timely restocking.

Ensure critical components are readily available to avoid extended downtimes.

Emergency Response

Act quickly in case of equipment failure, ensuring safety and timely resolution to resume operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must be a Bachelor's degree graduate in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering;
  • Preferably with at least 5 years' experience in plant or production management, ideally within interior building materials or wall panel manufacturing.;
  • Strong understanding of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality systems;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-oriented approach;
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team;
  • Solid organizational skills including strong analytical, communication, presentation skills as well as an eye for detail and multitasking skills; Results-oriented, team-player with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Willing to be assigned in Sta. Maria, Bulacan to handle one of our subsidiaries - Archiwall Corporation Plant;
  • Amenable to commute / relocate or living near / within Sta. Maria, Bulacan;
  • CAN START IMMEDIATELY.

Archipelago Builders Corporation

The company was established in 1965, engaging in General Building Construction under the name Archipelago Builders. The office started from renting a room of a building at Rizal Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila and the Warehouse / Steel Shop were located at Old Samson Road, Balintawak, Quezon City.

Started with a Building Contractor-Category "C" by Professional Regulations Commission, it was later recognized as a General Building Contractor-Class "B". In the year the company doubled its personnel, rented another three (3) rooms in the same building and added another three (3) compartment warehouses and steel shop for its expanded operations for both public and private sectors. In 1977, the company was recognized as a General Engineering and General Building-Category "A", engaged in both horizontal and vertical construction.

In 1979, Archipelago Builders started construction of its own three and a one half (3 -1/2) storey building at No.29 North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, to house its main office and diversified businesses like the restaurant, construction supply and real state.

In 1987, as the company continued to grow, the category "A" further upgraded to Category 'AA'

In 1998, the year of economic crisis, inflation and political strife in the country, fortunately, Archipelago Builders was awarded quite a number of projects in Metro Manila, Southern Luzon and Visayas. Because of this, Archipelago Builders was finally upgraded to Category 'AAA'.

Today, after many years of construction experience, Archipelago Builders aims to further develop the quality of construction and help build future for this country. This is our vision and mission.
