WHAT YOU'LL DO Technical Support Engineer

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customer support and issue resolution.
  • Investigate, reproduce, and resolve complex issues in embedded, virtualized, and real-time environments.
  • Provide guidance on system configuration, partitioning, and optimization to ensure stable and high-performing embedded systems.
  • Troubleshoot and debug RTOS-based and hypervisor-based embedded applications.
  • Contribute to software used in safety-critical or high-reliability systems that meet international quality standards.
  • Reproduce and analyze customer-reported issues using target hardware and emulation platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to resolve escalations and contribute to documentation and tools that improve product stability.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in embedded software development or technical support.
  • Strong understanding in Embedded RTOS concepts, scheduling, and interrupt handling.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical software development standards (DO-178C, ARINC-653).
  • Familiarity with POSIX-compliant and embedded Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ with experience debugging low-level code and device drivers.
  • Familiarity with ARM, PowerPC, or x86 embedded architectures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or industrial safety-critical domains.
  • Familiar with Type 1 hypervisors and partitioned architectures, Embedded graphics and Vulcan safety-critical frameworks.
  • Knowledge of secure boot, memory partitioning, and multi-core system isolation.
  • Exposure to certification processes, traceability tools, and coverage analysis.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and debug tools (e.g., GDB, JTAG, Lauterbach).
  • Fluency in Japanese, Mandarin, or Cantonese is an advantage but not required.
