Job Description

As a Sales Support & Lead Generation Specialist, you manage lead sourcing, qualify project opportunities, and ensure CRM accuracy while supporting the sales team with proposals, reporting, and coordination. Your role keeps the pipeline active and the team aligned, driving efficiency across the sales and business development process.

The Qualifications We Seek

Essential:

  • 3 years' experience in Sales Support and lead generation support role.
  • Excellent research and communication skills, particularly via phone and email.
  • Proficiency with online lead platforms (EstimateOne, BCI, etc.) and CRM systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented, highly organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the construction, architectural, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Knowledge of project-based sales cycles and commercial building processes.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRMs.

Success Measures:

  • Consistent flow of qualified new leads added to the pipeline.
  • Improved BDM productivity through admin and coordination support.
  • Accurate, up-to-date CRM and reporting.
  • Smoother team communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Daily Tasks

Sales Administration & Support

  • Maintain CRM accuracy and track all leads, opportunities, and updates
  • Prepare proposals, quote requests, and presentation documents with the BDM and Estimating teams
  • Support the onboarding and handover process for new opportunities in the sales pipeline
  • Coordinate meetings, CPDs, site visits, and daily team huddles

Lead Generation & Pipeline Development

  • Identify and qualify new sales leads through online tender portals, project databases, and industry websites (e.g., EstimateOne, BCI, Cordell, LinkedIn)
  • Conduct phone outreach to validate project details and decision-maker contacts
  • Screen opportunities against qualification criteria (project size, scope, location, stage)
  • Log and assign viable leads to the appropriate BDM
  • Monitor key clients, builders, and architects for early-stage or upcoming projects to stay ahead of the tender cycle

Communication & Coordination

  • Act as liaison between Sales, Estimating, Operations, and Project Delivery teams
  • Draft and distribute agendas, meeting notes, and follow-up actions
  • Track and chase internal and external deliverables to maintain momentum on active deals

Pipeline Reporting & Sales Metrics

  • Prepare weekly pipeline reports and dashboards for Sales Manager review
  • Assist with forecasting, KPI tracking, and monthly reporting
  • Ensure visibility of key opportunities and strategic accounts

Process Improvement

  • Maintain and improve shared sales tools, templates, and proposal assets
  • Identify areas to streamline admin processes and increase sales team productivity
