What You'll Do:

  • Design & Build Automation: Take the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable automated test suites using TypeScript and Playwright (or similar frameworks like Cypress/Selenium).
  • Test Complex Financial Systems: Apply your deep domain knowledge to test intricate financial workflows, including general ledger accounting, bank transaction processing, reconciliations, and payment systems (similar to testing QuickBooks or other banking platforms).
  • Own Quality: Take full ownership of the QA lifecycle for new features - from requirements analysis and test planning to execution and release sign-off.
  • Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with developers (reviewing PRs), product managers, and other stakeholders. You must be able to take instructions effectively, but also lead conversations about quality and risk.
  • Execute with Autonomy: We need someone who can "interpret commander's intent" - meaning you can operate independently, anticipate problems, and proactively find solutions without needing step-by-step guidance.
  • Technical Integration: Write and run tests that interact with our full stack, including React frontends, microservices, and AWS infrastructure.
  • Manual & Exploratory Testing: Use your domain expertise to perform targeted manual and exploratory testing to find critical bugs that automation might miss.
