Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting On-the-Job Trainee to join our accounting / finance team. This position is designed to provide practical experience and hands-on training in various accounting functions. The trainee will support the accounting department in day-to-day operations, gaining valuable insights and skills in the field of accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records.
  • Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Support the accounting team in reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements.
  • Help with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payments.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist with audits and tax preparation.
  • Support in maintaining proper documentation and filing of financial records.
  • Learn and apply accounting principles and procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the accounting manager.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
