Job Summary:

The Accounting and Finance Officer will be responsible for handling daily financial transactions, tracking expenses, and supporting tax compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain organized financial records and work closely with management to ensure smooth financial operations.

The role also requires flexibility in assisting with ad-hoc tasks outside of normal accounting scope, including banking transactions and administrative support for government compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management & Reporting

  2. Handle daily accounting transactions and reconcile accounts payable/receivable

  3. Monitor company liquidity and generate timely financial reports
  4. Prepare accurate month-end financial statements (P&L, balance sheet) with comparisons to forecasts and prior periods
  5. Assist in budgeting and business planning (e.g., projected room revenue)

  6. Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  7. Prepare, process, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports (e.g., VAT, Withholding Tax, ITR)

  8. Ensure compliance with national and local tax regulations
  9. Assist in business permit renewals and government reporting obligations

  10. Audit & Internal Controls

  11. Support internal and external audit processes

  12. Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
  13. Conduct routine database backups and ensure data confidentiality
  14. Coordinate Financial Statement preparation and tax analysis

  15. Cash Flow & Payment Oversight

  16. Track bank payments and reconcile bank statements

  17. Follow up on outstanding receivables and manage bad debt reporting
  18. Go to the bank to deposit or withdraw company funds as required

  19. Ad-Hoc & Business Support Duties

  20. Carry out tasks requested by management to support overall company operations, even

if outside of standard accounting duties

  • Travel to Surigao for BIR payments and related government transactions
  • Travel to Manila to file BIR administrative documents and other financial compliance

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance (fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may apply)
  • CPA is a plus only
  • Knowledge of Philippine tax compliance (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) is a plus
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to relocate to Siargao (accommodation provided)
  • On-site role only (no remote work)
  • Willingness to travel for company requirements (Surigao, Manila, or other locations as

necessary)
